<br />The Program Manager fbr this program will be the Chief Court Counselor. lie will be responsible i%r providing
<br />overall administration and cc.xwdination of the program with tile local Commuoity Service Program, judges and court
<br />counselors. ]'he Program Manager will also be responsible tbr compulation and reporting ju~enile's earnings,
<br />accurately completing reports as required by the prospective Rmding source, monitoring program expenditures,
<br />continuous cffk~rts to enhance thc efibctiveness and services of the program, and communicating ~th the relbgal
<br />sources with status and progress inlbrmadon and planning.

<br />Supervision of the juveniles while working will be provided b5 .actual worksilc emplo3, ees, serving as ,.olunteer
<br />worksites for the program. Supervision is also provided periodically by the Community Service staft~ Worksite
<br />Supervisors are responsible lbr documenting the hours worked by the juveniles and the juveniles' ,.~,ork
<br />performance. The juvenile is terminated fi'om the program when the requirements of restitution or community
<br />service have been met, or if the juvenile needs to be unsuccessfully terminated from lhe program. If the .juvenile is
<br />unsuccessfully terminated, he/she will have gone through a series of steps betbre being discharged, l'hc first step, a
<br />verbal warning, is given. The Community Service staff discusses problems with lhe juvenile, parents and ,*orksite
<br />supervisor. The second step is the intbrmation being given to the Court Counselor, and another visit is made by
<br />Community Service staff, with the Chief Court Connselor Ihe third aclion would be termination fi'om the
<br />Restitution Program upon review v,,.ilh the Chief' Court Counselor. Temfination is ',,ia con/ierence, vish, ~clephone
<br />call or letter The kinds of behavior that warrant an unsuccessful termination is: sho',,,ing up consistentl.,, late for
<br />work, or not showing at all, leaving work early, not performing assigned duties, showing disrespect tbr supervisors,
<br />violence at the worksite, alcohol or drugs used at the worksite, and breaking any laws while in the Prugram. If a
<br />child is successfldly terminated, however, heJsbe will receive a letter of congratulations fi'om the Restitution
<br />Prog r,"an Manager.

<br />Overall, the Restitution Program hopes to average a success tale of 85%. It is believed thai many .iuvcn i les will not
<br />become fnrther involved in the court system after their experience with the program. Jnveniles 'Mil vie,.,, this as a
<br />positive experience. Although participation in a program of this type does not guarantee eliminating inappropriate
