Sixty-five pcrccut (65%) of thc ot'l~nscs committed by juveniles catmc v~ctims to experience personal m jury, properly damage and loss. Juvenile Restitution ['rogr~tm aims at addressing thc prubtcm of juveniles committing such ol]L'llSeS without being held accountable [bt doing so. This problem, if left unattended, will increase the probability of the juvenile ~coming a repeat otlbndcr, thus contributing to thc overall increase in juvenile crime. The Juvenile Restitution Program is designed to address this by having juveniles work to earn restitution {'or their victims and/or perform uncompensated commnnity service. Another goal is to provide positive adult role models for the juveniles, as well as maintain a reductions of recidivist delinquent activities by youth while participating in the Program.
