The following are our responses to your <br />request for additional information: <br /> <br />Certification of Minority Business Goal - The County will provide certification that this project <br />will incorporate the minority business goals as adopted in accordance with G.S. 143-128. The <br />County will also report the attained goals to the state. Per Sandy Tripp's (Camp Dresser & <br />McKee) conversation with you on April 9, 1999, the certification needs to be provided before <br />funds are made available and is not due by April 30, 1999. The County intends to adopt a <br />resolution and provide this and the certification to you before June 1, 1999. <br /> <br />· Local Government Water Supply Watershed Protection/Wellhead Protection Ordinance <br /> Evaluation Form - The completed form is attached. <br /> <br />We have also reviewed the Priority Points list provided and offer the following comments and <br />information: <br /> <br />Item A.1 I/I Program - This project will ultimately be owned by the Water and Sewer Authority <br />of Cabarms County (WSACC). WSACC has a continuing FI program In its wastewater sewer <br />maintenance program. In 1997, WSACC had budgeted $425,000 for rehabilitation of existing <br />interceptors. This money has been spent on the rehabilitation of three major interceptor systems in <br />Cabarms County (Cold Water Creek, Coddle Creek, and Irish Buffalo Creek). <br /> <br />Item A.6 Land Use Plan - Cabarrus County has a land use plan for areas surrounding Mt. <br />Pleasant. The last plan was adopted in 1992. The County intends to update this plan next year. In <br />addition, Mt. Pleasant has adopted and enforces zoning within the town boundaries.
