Barnhar~, Chairman <br /> Cabarrus County Board Of Commissioners <br /> <br />Proclamation - E/ne~qenc¥ Medical Services Week (May 16-22, 19RR} <br /> <br /> UPON ~OTION of Commissioner Fennel, seconded by Commissioner Carpenter <br />and unanimously carried, the Board adopted the following Proclamation. <br /> <br /> PROCLAMATION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Emergency Medical Services personnel provide essential lifesaving <br /> medical care to the citizens of Cabarrus County in need 24 hours <br /> a day, seven days a week~ and <br />WHEREAS, several hundred paramedics, emergency medical technicians, <br /> firefighters, first responders, emergency room physicians and <br /> nurses are involved in providing emergency care around the clock; <br /> and <br />WHEREAS, a large nurmber of these individuals unself[shly volunteer their <br /> ~ime to provide this valuable service; and <br />WHEREAS, the members of emergenc~ medical services teams, whether career <br /> or volunteer, engage in thousands Of hours of specialized <br /> training and con[inning education to enhance their lifesaving <br /> skills; and <br />WHEREAS, recognition is due all of these individuals to show appreciation <br /> for the value and ~he accomplishments of all of these individuals <br /> who serve on behalf of all Cabarrus County residents. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that we, the Cabarrus County Board of <br />Commissioners, hereby proclaim the week of May 16 22~ ~999, as <br /> CA~A~RUS COUNTy EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES WEEK <br /> <br />This 19~n day of April, 1999. <br />/s/ Jeffrey L.
