The term "Fiscal Year" as used hereunder shall mean July 1 <br />until Iune 30. Costs for any portion of a Fiscal Year shall be prorated. <br /> <br />Payments will be issued only for actual completed mowing cycles. No mowing <br />cycles will be paid unless pre-approved by the County. In the second Fiscal <br />Year of the Contract period, the County will adjust the awarded contract by the <br />Consumer Price Index (released by Federal Government on February l~t). <br /> <br />ITEM 2. <br /> <br />Term. This agreement shall continue in force beginning August 30, <br /> <br />1999 and continuing through December 31, 2000 (''Initial Term"). The County, <br />at its sole option, may extend this Contract for an additional two-Year term by <br />giving written notice to the Contractor at least sixty days prior to the expiration <br />of the Initial Tel m. <br /> <br />ITEM 3. <br /> <br />Nonappropriation <br /> <br />Contractor understands and is in total agreement with the principle that funds for <br />payment by the County under this Contract are subject to the availability of an <br />annual appropriation for this purpose by the County Board of Commissioners. <br />In the event of nonappropriation of funds by the County for the Services, the <br />County may terminate this Contract, without termination charge or other <br />liability, on the earlier to occur of.' (1) the last day of the then-current fiscal <br /> <br /> <br />
