Property Maintenance l)ivlslon <br /> <br />Properly Maintenance Division provides land- <br />scape maintenance for all Cabarrus County <br />owned properties. A wide range of tasks are <br />preformed that include pruning, mulching <br />plants, and plant beds. Some limited construc- <br />tion is provided such as building retainer walls, <br />installing irrigation systems, and improving <br />drainage. <br /> <br />Projects for 98-99 include: <br /> <br />· Bid package to contract mowing and turf <br /> improvements on all County property in- <br /> cluding all public schools <br />· Pruning trees and shrubbery at all public <br /> schools <br />· Irrigation system was installed on the #2 <br /> Softball field at Frank Liske Park <br />· A new drainage system was implemented <br /> at Frank Liske Park on the ball fields <br />· The public parking lot on Corban and <br /> Spring received a face lift by replacing all <br /> border timbers and planting new shrubs <br /> and plants <br /> <br />In addition, all athletic fields used by co- <br />sponsored volunteer youth athletic associa- <br />tions and adult softball fields at Frank Liske <br />Park are maintained by the division. <br /> <br /> "You can d~seover <br /> more abouj a person <br /> in an hour of play <br />than in a year of eonvereaflon." <br /> Pla~o <br /> <br /> <br />
