Resolution No. 1999- <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING FILING FEES <br /> FOR CANDIDATES FOR <br />COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AND REGISTER OF DEEDS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, filing for the Year 2000 candidates for County Commissioners and Register <br />of Deeds begins on January 3, 2000; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Cabarrus County Board of Elections has requested direction in <br />establishing filing fees for these offices; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, North Carolina General Statute 163-107 fixes the filing fee for the County <br />Commissioners and Register of Deeds at one percent (1%) of the annual salary for each office; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the annual salary for the County Commissioners is $9,381.58 and the <br />annual salary for the Register of Deeds is $50,267.67. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED the Cabarrus County Board of <br />Commissioners hereby sets the following filing fees for the 2000 Election and directs that this <br />information be forwarded to the Board of Elections: <br /> <br />County Commissioners <br />Register of Deeds <br /> <br />$ 94 <br />$503 <br /> <br />Adopted this the 20th day of December, 1999. <br /> <br />Chairman, Board of Commissioners <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />Clerk to the Board <br /> <br /> <br />
