The cost of the one-day event is estimated to be approximately $40,000.00 dep~,nding upon the volume of waste collected. UPON MOTION of Chairman Casper, seconded by Commissioner Carpenter and unanimously carried, the Board voted to allow Commissioner Barnhart to abstain from voting on this item d%le to the proprietary relationship with the company. Further, the Board authorized the County Manager to sign the contract on behalf of Cabarrus County. Authorization for the County Manager to Enter into Contract with K&K Kay's Konstruction for the Demolition and Removal of the Carolina Tire Buildin~ and the Anytbin~ Automotive Building ($23rS75.00) UPON MOTION of Commissioner Barnhart, seconded by Commissioner Mills with commissioners Barnhart, Mills and Niblock and Chairman Casper voting for and Commissioner Carpenter voting against, the Board awarded a contract to K&K Kay's Konstruction to perform the demolition services for the Carolina Tire Building and Anything Automotive Building on Corban Avenue at a proposed contract amount of $23,875.00. Further, the Board authorized the County Manager to execute the contract on behalf of Cabarrus County.
