The final
cover will consist of a minimum of 2 feet of compacted soil. The final cover will be
vegetated with native grasses within six months following closure.

1.5 Operating Equipment

The proposed C&D landfill will be operated with equipment owned by the landfill owner. A
dozer or track loader and two compactors will be used for operation of the C&D landfill. A
scraper will also be on site for placement of cover soils.

1.6 Training of Facility Personnel

Due to the diversity of job tasks required at C&D landfills and the critical nature of the
landfill components, personnel should be properly trained to handle the operation and
maintenance of the facility. He should have individuals performing the vadous tasks that have had
training for the specific tasks they are assigned through programs offered by the State or by
organizations such as SWANA.

The proposed management staff for this facility are propedy trained for operation and
maintenance of a C&D landfill.
