Wayne is certified by the state to teach the Carry Concealed Handgun Permit course and is a certified <br />National Rifle Association Police Firearms Instructor. <br /> <br />He belongs to the Police Marksmartqhip Association, International Association of Law Enforcement <br />Firearms Instructors and is a lite member of the National Rifle Association. <br /> <br />Wayne has been a close friend of mine and a loyal and dedicated member of the Cabarrus County <br />SherifFs Department. At his retirement Lieutenant Barringer will have served the citizens of Cabarrus <br />County for 28 years and 10 months. <br /> <br />Wayne is a big man with an even bigger heart, he will be missed by all of us as a full time employee but <br />will remain on our auxiliary force and continue to work with our training program. <br /> <br />We wish him well as he assumes his new career as an instructor and school director with Rowan Cabarrus <br />Community College. <br /> <br /> <br />
