Pleasant Road and Georgeville Road areas. He stated that much of the <br />property in those areas will not perk and that the quality of water is poor. <br /> <br /> Also speaking in support of water and sewer for the eastern and southern <br />areas of Cabarrus County were Ms. Helen Studdert of Mt. Pleasant, Ms. Yvoune Furr <br />of Lakeshore Estates, Mr. Robert Shinn of 7425 Barrier-Georgeville Road and Mr. <br />Dale Staley of 225 Pine Street, Mt. Pleasant. <br /> <br /> Commissioner Barnhart, member of the Water and Sewer Authority, reported the <br />Authority is working with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Utility Department (CMUD) and the <br />counties of Stanly and Union on a feasibility study regarding the possible <br />construction of a larger wastewater treatment facility in the drainage basin. <br /> <br />Presentation of the Proposed Fiscal Year 1998-99 Cabarrus County Budget - Mr. <br />Frank Clifton <br /> <br /> Mr. Clifton presented the proposed Fiscal Year 1998-99 Cabarrus County <br />Budget.
