deemed non-structural for use as an office area. (The wind howls through the shed roof,
which is supported by a concrete block wall.) Therefore, a new metal roof was specified.
4. Two additional truck lifts were added to the project. The alternate replaces all of them.
5. A new mechanical split system and new space heaters were specified since the old units
were deemed non-functional for reuse. New bathroom fixtures were also specified.
6. The existing HID light fixtures functioned poorly and were changed to Metal Halide,
which give better light and have longer life expectancy. The other lights ~vere unusable.

I had requested and have received a sixteen division breakdown of Southern Constructor's
bid to understand the bid costs. I have attached a copy of that breakdown for your review.
It reflects the additional costs in each of the five areas described above which exceeds our
original preliminary cost estimate. An approximate cost re-evaluation of it is as follows:

1. Division 2 Additional Sitework sewer line and structure $60,000.00
2. Division 8 Additional coil Door and storefront Windows $20,000.00
3. Division 13 Additional metal building Special Construction $40,000.00
4. Division 14 Additional hydraulic lift Conveying Systems S30,000.00
5. Division 15 Additional split system Mechanical equipment $10,000.00
6. Division 16 Additional light systems Electrical equipment $ 5,000.00

We hope that this information explains the difference between the est[mate and the bids.
The facility that was bid was approaching being an entirely new thcility with the demolition
costs at the existing site still included. Perhaps the sale of that building could be considered.

We remain at your service to provide you with any further assistance including studying
other alternatives to the project as developed and bid. We will prepare a site plan for the
option discussed over the phone. The soil is still a factor. Please call for any clarifications.

Sincerely,

Robert J.
