Instructions to Bidders <br /> <br />Project <br /> <br />The work contemplated by these plans and specifications consists of the work in connection with the <br />PLAYGROUND RENOVATIONS FOR THE FOLLOWING SCHOOLS: <br /> <br />Bethel Elementary School <br />Beverly Hills Elementary School <br />Coltrane-Webb Elementary School <br />Harrisburg Elementary School <br />Long Exceptional Children's Center <br />Mt. Pleasant Elementary School <br />R. Brown McAIlister Elementary School <br />Royal Oaks Elementary School <br />W.R. Odell Elementary School <br />Wolf Meadow Elementary School <br /> <br />Scope <br /> <br />The plans contemplate the furnishing of all labor, materials, tools, transportation, and any and all other <br />items necessary to complete the work hereunder. <br /> <br />It is the intention of the contract to provide a finished installation to the extent indicated, complete and <br />ready for use, except for the facilities specifically noted to be excluded from the Contractor's work. <br /> <br />Owner <br /> <br />Wherever the term "Owner" is used in these specifications, it refers to Cabarrus County Schools, Post <br />Office Box 388, Concord, North Carolina 28026. Any papers to be delivered to, or notice to, or demand <br />upon the Owner, shall be sufficiently given if delivered to the Office of the Cabarrus County Schools, or to <br />such other representative of the Owner, or to such other address as the Owner may subsequently specify, <br />in writing, to the contractor for such purposes. <br /> <br />Architect <br /> <br />Wherever the term "Architect" is used in these specifications, it refers to ColeJenest & Stone, P.A., 112 <br />South Tryon, Suite 300, Charlotte, North Carolina 28284 who by contract with the Owner is authorized to <br />prepare all drawings, specifications and details for this work. <br /> <br />Interpretations <br /> <br />If any person contemplating submitting a bid for the proposed contract is in doubt as to the true meaning <br />of any part of these specifications, he may submit to the Architect a wdtten request for an interpretation <br />thereof. The person submitting the request for an interpretation of such documents will be made by an <br />addendum duly issued, and a copy of such addendum, or addenda, will be mailed or delivered to bidders. <br />The Owner will not be responsible for any other explanations or interpretations of such documents, which <br />anyone presumes to make on behalf of the Owner, before time set for the receipt of bids. Bidders shall <br />act promptly and allow sufficient time for a reply to reach them before submission of their bids. <br /> <br />Visit to Site <br /> <br />Each bidder shall visit the site and shall inform himself fully of the conditions relating to the construction <br />and labor under which the work will be performed, and insofar as practicable, the contractor must employ <br />such methods and means in carrying out his work as will not cause any interference with any other <br />activities at the school. <br /> <br /> <br />
