Information <br /> <br /> Questions concerning bid requirements or specifications should be directed to the Cabarrus County <br /> Purchasing Agent, Sherri M. All changes in the specifications shall be in writing in the form of an addendum and furnished <br /> to all bidders. Verbal information obtained otherwise will not be considered in awarding of bids. No <br /> changes to specifications will be permitted within five (5) days pdor to bid openings. If you prefer to mail <br /> your bid, please send it to the above address in a sealed envelope and specify, "Bid for Playground <br /> Renovations" on the outside of the envelope. <br /> <br /> It is the County's policy to furnish a bid tabulation to ail bidders requesting same upon notification of award <br /> or upon returning bid deposits. All bidders are welcome to bid openings. <br /> <br /> Bidders must complete all blanks where requested. This contract will be let by the Cabarrus County. The <br /> price should be firm for a minimum of 180 days from the bid opening date. Bids submitted incomplete are <br /> subject to rejection. <br /> <br /> Manufacturer's specifications enclosed herein are intended to obtain competitive bids. <br /> <br /> Permits and Taxes <br /> <br /> Do not include taxes in bid figures. The County pays sales tax and will add this to your bid figures <br /> separately when invoices are paid. The County is exempt form Federal excise tax and will issue a Federal <br /> exemption certificate, if necessary. <br /> <br /> In the event of a tie bid with all terms, etc. the same, the successful bi~ider will be chosen by a drawing <br /> certified by the Clerk to the Board of Commissioners. <br /> <br /> The General Statutes of the State of North Carolina, insofar as they apply to purchasing and competitive <br /> bidding, are made a part hereof. <br /> <br />The Contractor shall obtain and pay for all permits, license, certificates, inspection and other legal fees <br />required, both permanent and temporary. <br /> <br />The General Conditions <br /> <br />"The General Conditions of the Contract for the Construction of Buildings", standard form of the American <br />Institute of Architects, A.I.A, Document #A-201, latest revision, are a part of this specification to the extent <br />as if herein written out in full. <br /> <br />The "General Conditions" may be purchased from the Amedcan Institute of Architects, The Octagon, <br />Washington, D.C. or may be examined in the Architect's Office. <br /> <br />Time of Completion <br /> <br />The work must be completed by May 29, 1998. <br /> <br />Guarantee <br /> <br />All workmanship and materials furnished under the contract shall be guaranteed for a pedod of twelve <br />months after completion and acceptance of the work except as specified for a longer period of time. <br /> <br />Insurance <br /> <br />The contractor shall not commence work under this contract until he has obtained all insurance required, <br />and such insurance has been approved, in wdting, by the Owner, nor shall the contractor allow any <br />subcontractor to commence work on his subcontract until all similar insurance required of the <br />subcontractor has been so obtained and approved. <br /> <br /> £-15 <br /> <br /> <br />
