The sponsor fire department, a first responder agency shall secure and maintain insurance for all <br />activities conducted pursuant to this program in a minimum liability/indemnity amount <br />satisfactory to the county and shall hold the county harmless from any and all liability, damages <br />or claims, including attorney's fees, that might be asserted or suffered by the county as a result of <br />any act or omission of any of such respective department's officers, employees, agents or <br />representatives arising out of services performed pursuant to this program. In this regard, on its <br />certificate of insurance provided to the emergency medical services department, a sponsoring fire <br />department shall indicate that its first responders are covered and that the county bears no <br />responsibility for the actions of the respective sponsoring department. <br /> <br />(Ord. of 12-7-92(2), § 13) <br /> <br />See. 26-64. Charges. <br /> <br />There will be no charge for services of a county first responder agency or for first responder <br />individuals acting as first responders. Donations may be accepted. <br /> <br />(Ord. of 12-7-92(2), § 14) <br /> <br />Sec. 26-65. County first responder advisory board. <br /> <br />(a) The first responder advisory board will consist of the following members: <br /> <br />(1) President or designee of the county firefighters' association <br /> <br />(2) Fire chief or designee of each approved first responder agency. <br /> <br />(3) Advisory physician and/or emergency department nurse liaison. <br /> <br />(4) ~ Coordinator or designee of the county emergency management. <br /> <br />(5) Chief or designee of county rescue squad. <br /> <br />(6) A representative of the county board of commissioners or their designee. <br /> <br />(7) Director or designee of county emergency medical services. <br /> <br />(8) President or designee of the fire chiefs' association. <br /> <br />(9) Sheriff of the county or his designee. <br /> <br />(b) Each organization represented on the advisory board shall have one vote. All voting members <br />will be verified prior to voting. <br /> <br />(Ord. of 12-7-92(2), § 15) <br /> <br />Sec. 26-66. Operational standards for the county first responder advisory board. <br /> <br />(a) The board will meet bi-annually, <br /> _ ,~ ........... j on the fourth Thursday of March and September. <br />......................... th.
