NORTH CAROLINA <br /> <br />CABARRUS COUNTY <br /> <br />ORDER CLOSING AN EASEMENT <br />DEDICATED FOR A PUBLIC ROAD <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, at the September 21, 1998, meeting of the Board of Commissioners for <br />Cabarrus County (the "Board"), the Board acknowledged receipt of a Petition to adopt a <br />Resolution and Order closing approximately four hundred (400) feet of Quay Road (SR <br />1446) in the vicinity of its intersection with Speedway/Kings Grant Boulevard, in Township <br />2, Cabarrus County, North Carolina, as described and identified in the Petition and <br />incorporated herein by reference (the "Road"); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Board has caused to be published in The Independent Tribune on <br />Friday, September 25, 1998, and Monday, September 28, and October 5 and 12, 1998, a <br />Resolution declaring its intent to close the Road; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a meeting and public hearing (the "Hearing") on the closing of the Road <br />was held before the Board at 6:30 p.m. on the 19th day of October, 1998, in the Auditorium at <br />the Cabarrus County Human Services Center, 1303 S. Cannon Boulevard, Kannapolis, North <br />Carolina 28023; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, at the hearing, the Board heard all interested persons who appeared with <br />respect to whether closing the Road would be detrimental either to the public, interest or to <br />any individual property rights.
