5O <br /> <br />D AFT <br /> <br />(2) SO copies of the record of patient treatment shall be given to the <br />arabulance crew when they assume control of the patient's care at the <br />emergency scene. <br />(3) A copy of the completed record of patient treatment will be given to the <br />coordinator of the county emergency management on a monthly basis. <br /> <br />Sec. 26-60. Grievance procedure. <br />(a) The first responder agency will be responsible for resolving grievances <br />between its own me~mbers. <br />(b) Grievances from a first responder agency toward the county emergency <br />medical services shall be submitted in writing by the first responder and co- <br />signed by the fire chief or his designee to the director of county emergency <br />medical services. <br />(c) Grievances from county emergency medical services personnel or county <br />commissioners toward a first responder shall be submitted in writing to the <br />director of county emergency medical services who shall evaluate the grievance <br />and, if necessary relay it to the fire chief of the appropriate agency. <br />(d} If the grievance cannot be resolved between the first responder agency <br />and the county emergency medical service a copy of the written grievance will <br />be forwarded to county first responder advisory board for its investigation <br />and ruling. The board's ruling is binding. <br />(e) When a grievance has been settled by the emergency medical services <br />director if there is any rebuttal from the organization or the person against <br />whom the complaint was filed, that person or organization must go through the <br />proper procedures to get the grievance before first responder advisory board <br />for their ruling. The person or organization is not to communicate directly <br />with the organization filing the original grievance. <br /> <br />Sec. 26-61. Standards for Equipment. <br />The following items of equipment shall be standard for first responder <br />agencies and individual first responders <br /> (1) I trauma box <br /> (2) 6 sterile 8-inch x 10-inch dressings <br /> (3) 12 sterile 4-inch x 4-inch dressings <br /> (4) 6 4-inch roll gauze <br /> (5) 6 triangular bandages <br /> (6) 2 3-inch x 9-inch occlusive dressings <br /> (7) 2 1-inch cloth tape <br /> (8) 1 2-inch cloth tape <br /> (9) 1 bandage shears <br /> (10) 1 pen-light <br /> (11) 6 ammonia inhalants <br /> (12) i blood pressure kit <br /> (13} i stethoscope <br /> (14) 2 paper bags <br /> (15) 2 bite sticks <br /> (16) 2 burn sheets <br /> (17) 2 small paper cups <br /> (18) 1 pocket ~sk or bag mask <br /> (19) 1 airway kit <br /> (20) 1 size D or E oxygeq tank <br /> (21) I oxygen regulator, 2--15 liter flow <br /> (22) 2 adult nasal cannulas <br /> (23) I adult oxygen mask <br /> (24) 1 child oxygen mask <br /> (25) 3 extrication collars (S, M, L) <br /> (26) One personal protective package per first responder containing: <br /> a. Gown <br /> b. Mask <br /> c. Gloves <br /> d. Safety glasses <br /> e. Shoe covers <br /> f. Bio-medical (red) bag <br /> (27) Optional equipment may include the following: <br /> a. O.B. kit <br /> b. Blanket <br /> c. Pillow <br /> d. Traction splint <br /> e. I splint kit (2 - 3-inch x 15-inch padded wood boards; 2 - 3-inch x <br /> 36-inch padded wood boards; 2 - 3-inch x 54-inch padded wood <br /> boards) <br /> <br />Sec. 26-62. Standards for Training. <br /> (a) Standards for training shall be those req~ired by the state office of <br /> emergency medical services for medical responders 'or emergency medical <br /> technicians. <br /> <br /> <br />
