<br />Dear Mr. Marshall:

<br />As you are aware, we originally advertised the Corban Avenue Parking Facility for bids
<br />on August 16, 1998, and were to receive bids on the project on September 8, 1998. Six
<br />(6) Contractors requested plans on the project and no bids were received at the Bid
<br />Opening.
<br />
<br />The project was Readvertised for Bids on September 13, 1998, and a bid date was
<br />scheduled for September 29, 1998, at 2:00 p.m. A total of five (5) Contractors
<br />requested plans on this Contract the second time around. The following is the list of two
<br />(2) bids received:

<br />The Base Bid includes the widening and street improvements to Corban Avenue and the
<br />parking lot except for the items listed in the alternates. Alternate No. 1 includes the
<br />installation of a drip irrigation system. Alternate No. 2. includes the installation of an
<br />electrical service for the drip irrigation system, Springfest electrical outlets, and conduit
<br />for future barrier gates and card reader. Alternate No. 3 is a deduct for the installation
<br />of PVC Picket Fence in lieu of the Planter along the west property line.
