CABARRUS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Meeting Date: 11116/98 <br /> <br />Agenda Item # ~ -,-~ <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Support is requested fi-om the BOC for a grant proposal being submitted by the Yadkin- <br />Pee Dec River Basin Association to the Clean Water Management Trust Fund for monies to carry <br />out stream restoration projects in the Clarke Creek Watershed. The Association's membership is <br />made up ofmunlcipal dischargers inclucting the Water and Sewer Authority of Cabarrus County. <br /> <br />The grant proposal is to protect water quality in the Clarke Creek watershed. The BOC took action <br />last year to support a successful application by the Land Trust for Central North Carolina for monies <br />to acquire a portion ora 186 acre wetland on Clarke Creek.
