Cook - 10/27/98 - smith & Wesson 9MM Model 5906 <br /> Ser/TEB 3724 <br /> <br />ADDroval of Request by Melrose Pyrotechnics, Inc. for a Public DisPlay of <br />Fireworks at the Charlotte Motor Speedway on October 31, 1998 <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carpenter, seconded by Commissioner Barnhart <br />and unanimously carried, the Board approved the request by Melrose <br />Pyrotechnics for a fireworks display at the Charlotte Motor Speedway at <br />approximately 8:30 p.m. on October 31, 1998, subject to compliance with the <br />requirements of the National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) 1123 of the N. C. <br />Fire Prevention Code and with the requirements of the City of Concord. <br /> <br />Sheriff's Department - Award of Bid ($242,556) to Hilbish Motor Company for <br />12 Patrol Vehicles <br /> <br /> The following bid was received for the purchase of 12 patrol vehicles <br />for the Sheriff's Department: Hilbish Motor Company - $242,556.00. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carpenter, seconded by Commissioner <br />Barnhart and unanimously carried, the Board awarded the bid for the purchase <br />of 12 patrol vehicles for the Sheriff's Department to the sole bidder, <br />Hilbish Motor Company, in the amount of $242,556.00. <br /> <br />Department of A~ina - ADDroval of Meatlnc Appliance Reoair or Replacement <br />Proar~m ~HARRP) Contract and Related Budget Amendment <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carpenter, seconded by Commissioner <br />Barnhart and unanimously carried, the Board approved the Heating Appliance <br />Repair and Replacement Program (Subcontract), Contract Nu~%ber 98-4427-38(2), <br />between Salisbury-Rowan Community Service Council, Inc. and the cabarrus <br />County Department of Aging at the following Program Cost: Program Support - <br />$8,000.00; Materials - $10,000.00; and Administration - $1,100.00.
