Cook - 10/27/98 - smith & Wesson 9MM Model 5906 Ser/TEB 3724 ADDroval of Request by Melrose Pyrotechnics, Inc. for a Public DisPlay of Fireworks at the Charlotte Motor Speedway on October 31, 1998 UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carpenter, seconded by Commissioner Barnhart and unanimously carried, the Board approved the request by Melrose Pyrotechnics for a fireworks display at the Charlotte Motor Speedway at approximately 8:30 p.m. on October 31, 1998, subject to compliance with the requirements of the National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) 1123 of the N. C. Fire Prevention Code and with the requirements of the City of Concord. Sheriff's Department - Award of Bid ($242,556) to Hilbish Motor Company for 12 Patrol Vehicles The following bid was received for the purchase of 12 patrol vehicles for the Sheriff's Department: Hilbish Motor Company - $242,556.00. UPON MOTION of Commissioner Carpenter, seconded by Commissioner Barnhart and unanimously carried, the Board awarded the bid for the purchase of 12 patrol vehicles for the Sheriff's Department to the sole bidder, Hilbish Motor Company, in the amount of $242,556.00.
