Page 2 <br /> <br />when involved in accidents where there are life threatening <br />injuries or death, <br /> <br />when found at fault in a traffic accident or violation, <br /> <br />· and when there is reasonable suspicion that the policy has <br /> been violated. <br /> <br />The expanded program would have the same ~goguar.~ as our current <br />program - testing of the second part of a split sample (or retest in case of <br />alcohol) and medical review by a doctor before it would be reported that an <br />employee failed the test. <br /> <br />It is recommended that this policy be adopted with an effective date of April <br />1, 1999 to provide adequate time to educate employees on the policy. Also <br />this would allow those with substance abuse problems an opportunity to seek <br />rehabilitative treatment through the County's Employee Assistance Program <br />or some other agency of their own choice. <br /> <br /> <br />
