<br /> Sheriff Robert Canaday reviewed the plans to include a cremation unit in
<br />the new Animal Shelter.
<br />
<br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Ntblock, seconded by Commissioner Casper and
<br />unanimously carried, the Board approved the Animal Shelter and General Services
<br />building project, subject to approval of the Ground Lease Agreement by the City
<br />of Concord, as follows:
<br />
<br />Adopted budget amendment appropriating $1,091,500.00 for
<br />building construction and $38,000.00 for architect fees,
<br />$45,000.00 for incinerator and $2,200.00 for the extension of
<br />natural gas lines to the site. (Total $1,176,700.00)
<br />Awarded construction contract to low bidder, R. J. Fisher
<br />Construction Company, in the amount of $1,043,000.00 for the
<br />base bid, and $48,500.00 for alternate bid number 1 (which
<br />increases the General Services building from 5,000 square feet
<br />to 7,500 square feet). These figures will be subject to
<br />reductions achieved by value engineering through negotiations
<br />with the general contraotor.
