RESOLUTION OF IC-kNNAPOLIS CITY BOARD OF EDUCATION WHEREAS, the Kannapolis City Board of Education is authorized and directed by law to acquire real property and to construct school buildings thereon for the purpose of providing educational facilities and associated school facilities thereon for the education of the students located within the Kannapolis City Administrative School Unit; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Kannapolis City Board of Education to construct an elementary school building and attendant school facilities using monies allocated to it by the passage of a Cabarnts County School Bond Referendum; and WHEREAS, The Board o1' Commissioners of Cabarrus County owns title to real property located in the City of Kannapolis, Cabarrus County, North Carolina, on the west side of South Little Texas Road (S.R. 2154) in an amount in excess of twenty-five (.25) acres and within the Kannapolis City Administrative School Unit; that the Cabarms County Board of Commissioners has expressed a willingness to convey a portion of this real property to the Kannapolis City Board of Education without charge to the end that the Board of Education may construct an elementaD~ school thereon with attendant l:acilities; and WHEREAS, the Kannapolis City Board of Education approved the proposed site proposed by the Cabarms County Board of Commissioners for its new school, has performed site testing, performed a site survey of that real property desired; that attached to this resolution and made a part hereof is a description of the desired real properly together with a copy of survey of the desired site, the description being designated as "EXHIBIT A" and survey as "EXHIBIT B"; and WHEREAS, in the development of the proposed site planned, the Kannapolis City Board of Education will dedicate for public use a sixty feet (.60') right-of-way as shown on the plat, which right-of-way will be made available to the City of Kannapolis for inclusion in its public
