street system and the Kannapolis City Board of Education will further construct along a portion <br />of said right°of-way the necessaD' street to serve the school to be erected; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, to most economically use file fimds provided by the citizens o~' Cabarrus <br />County for the construction of school building and to meet the pressing needs for a new <br />elementary school [aci!ity replacing existing antiquated facilities by haviug available for nsc by <br />the fall of 1998 a new facility, it is essential that the Kannapolis City Board of Education begin <br />immediately to secure the necessar5' permits and approvals for the construction ot' the new <br />facility; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, tile Kannapolis City Board of Education cannot make application for <br />necessary permits and approvals for the new facilities until it holds legal title to that site and to <br />that property more fully described in "EXHIBIT A", attached hereto; that to that end it is <br />necessary that the Kannapolis City Board of Education hold legal title to the proposed school <br />site; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the Kannapolis City Board of <br />Education respectfully requests and petitions the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners: <br /> <br />To convey to it for the use as a site for the construction of a new public school <br />that property more fully described in "EXHIBIT A", attached hereto. <br /> <br />That this conveyance be made immediately in order that the Kannapolis City <br />Board of Education can proceed as expeditiously as possible with construction of <br />the new school. <br /> <br />Dated: January ./-J , 1997. <br /> <br />7A. f <br /> <br /> <br />
