Page Three Continued <br />Cabarrus County Nursing Home Community Advisory Committee <br />1996 Annual Report <br /> <br />In the event committee vacancies occur, the NHCAC encouraqes the County <br />Commissioners to continue to make timely appointments to the NHCAC to <br />ensure no delays in committee activity and to ensure continuity with <br />the lonq term care residents. (There is currently one vacancy on the <br />committee that became effective December, 1996.) <br /> <br />Continued reduction in Ombudsman hours effected timely response to <br /> <br />concerns. <br /> <br />4. Constant staffinq chanqes in facilities. <br /> <br />Committee members are trained and supported by the Ombudsman Program of the <br />Centralina Council of Governments, Region F. Back-up is provided by <br />the Cabarrus County Department of Social Services. <br /> <br /> <br />
