He said you would need a motion to deny or a motion to direct staff or both. Currently there is no motion that has passed, so the Board has not acted on the petition. That motion failed 3 to 6. You need a motion to either deny or if you wish to make a motion to deny and include directing staff to review the zoning in this area, you would need a motion. The issue is still open. The Chair MOTIONED to deny Petition 97-04 and direct staff to consider alternative uses for this, seconded by Mr. Moose. The vote was 7 to 2 to deny Petition 97-04. Mr. Babb, Ms. Davis, Mr. Moose, Mr. Hill, Mr. Dwiggins, Mr. Hobbs, and Mr. Lane in favor of denying this petition. Mr. Drye and Mr. Kiefer against denying this petition. Petition 97-04 denied. Zoning Atlas Amendment This was a request to the Cabarrus County Planning and Zoning Commission from Mr. Carroll Mullis, PIN 5633.16-02-6402, to have his property located on Horseshoe Circle off Centergrove Road rezoned from Medium Density Residential to Low Density' Residential - Special Use, to allow placement of a second double wide on the property.
