He said you would need a motion to <br />deny or a motion to direct staff or both. Currently there is no <br />motion that has passed, so the Board has not acted on the petition. <br />That motion failed 3 to 6. You need a motion to either deny or if <br />you wish to make a motion to deny and include directing staff to <br />review the zoning in this area, you would need a motion. The <br />issue is still open. <br /> <br />The Chair MOTIONED to deny Petition 97-04 and direct staff to <br />consider alternative uses for this, seconded by Mr. Moose. The <br />vote was 7 to 2 to deny Petition 97-04. Mr. Babb, Ms. Davis, Mr. <br />Moose, Mr. Hill, Mr. Dwiggins, Mr. Hobbs, and Mr. Lane in favor <br />of denying this petition. Mr. Drye and Mr. Kiefer against denying <br />this petition. Petition 97-04 denied. <br /> <br />Mr. Moose asked to be excused from the next item on the Agenda <br />because of conflict of interest. <br /> <br />The Chair MOTIONED, seconded by Mr. Dwiggins to excuse Mr. <br />Moose. Zoning Atlas Amendment <br /> <br />This was a request to the Cabarrus County Planning and Zoning <br />Commission from Mr. Carroll Mullis, PIN 5633.16-02-6402, to have <br />his property located on Horseshoe Circle off Centergrove Road <br />rezoned from Medium Density Residential to Low Density' <br />Residential - Special Use, to allow placement of a second double <br />wide on the property. <br /> <br /> <br />
