James Benjamin Franklin

On April 4, 1997, James Benjamin Franklin retired from the custodial
division of General Services. Better known to co-workers, family and friends as
"J.B.", he has been employed with Cabarrus County General Services since 1979,
working at the County Courthouse.

J.B.'s dedication and loyalty to his job and to the department have been
constant. The pride that he put into any duty assigned to him has always been
evident. He has been a source of inspiration to us all. The younger members of the
custodial division look up to J.B. and always valued his advice and/or opinion.
You always know that J.B. will have a kind word for you and a friendly smile
whenever you meet him.

As a proud father and grandfather, JB is looking forward to spending time
with his family, maybe do a little puttering in his yard and just sitting back and
enjoying each day.

It is with mixed feelings that General Services and Cabarrus County say
good-bye to JB and we wish him lots of joy and happiness in his retirement.
