14. <br /> <br />15. <br /> <br />16. <br /> <br />17. <br /> <br />18. <br /> <br />19. <br /> <br />Before final acceptance, all complete uniforms will be subject to rigid inspections by the <br />participating departments whose duly authorized representatives shall be the sole judge of <br />a proper fit. Any such unitVoti,i~q not completed in accordance with the specifications will <br />be rejected at the contractor's risk. Alterations that might change the style of the gat-merit <br />or which will use up ail of the allowance in se~m.q provided for shall be considered cause <br />for rejection. <br /> <br />The contractor agrees to bill the County on a monthly basis for uniforms and accessories <br />that are purchased during the month. Every purchase made by a member of the <br />participating departments must have a written authorization signed by the Sheriff or his <br />duly authorized agent. It shall be the duty of the Sheriffor his duly authorized agent to <br />verify that the authorizations issued and the amount billed for on the contractor's monthly <br />invoice, correspond to one another. Any unauthorized purchases will be done at the risk <br />of the contractor, and the County accepts no obligation to pay for these unauthorized <br />purchases. <br /> <br />Bidders must complete all blanks where requested and provide both unit and extended <br />prices. The price per item shall be a firm price for the approximate annual amount and for <br />every item ordered that is over the estimated numbers for the one (1) year contract period. <br /> <br />Do not include taxes in bid figures. The County pays sales tax and will add this to your <br />bid figures separately when invoices are paid. The County is exempt from Federal excise <br />tax and will issue a Federal exemption certificate, if necessary. <br /> <br />In the event of a tie bid with all the term.~, etc. the same, the successful bidder will be <br />chosen by a drawing certified by the Clerk to the Board of Commissioners. <br /> <br />The General Statutes of the State of North Carolina, insofar as they apply to purchasing <br />and competitive bidding, are made a part hereof. <br /> <br />Sherri Bamhardt <br />County Purchasing Agent <br />Cabarrus County <br />Concord, North Carolina <br /> <br /> <br />
