Ordinance No. <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE EXTENDING TIlE <br />CABLE TELEVISION FRANCIIlSE ORDINANCE <br /> <br />1997-11 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Time Warner Cable holds a franchise to provide cable television service for <br />Cabarrus County; and <br /> <br /> WltEREAS, negotiations on a new franchise agreement are continuing between Time Warner <br />Cable and Cabarms County; and <br /> <br /> Wlq-EREAS, Time Wamer General Manager Bob Melton has agreed to an extension of the <br />current cable television franchise issued to Time Warner Cable with a franchise fee of five percent <br />(5%) of gross revenues. <br /> <br /> NOW, TFIEREFORE, BE 1T ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the County <br />of Cabarrus that: <br /> <br /> I. Effective immediately, the Cable Television Franchise issued to Time Warner Cable <br />is hereby extended through December 31, 1997. <br /> <br /> 2.
