Day <br />Deputy County Manager <br />Cabarrus County <br />PO Box 707 <br />Concord, NC 28026-0707 <br /> <br />Dear John: <br /> <br /> In regard to our conversation today Time Warner Cable agrees to an extension of the <br />current cable franchise to December 31, 1997, or until a franchise renewal agreement is reached. <br /> <br /> Upon receipt of a resolution by the County Board of Commissioners we will increase the <br />franchise fee from the current 3% to the requested rate of 5%. This fee is a line item that is <br />passed on to our cable customers in Cabarrus County. The effective date of this increase will be <br />set at your request.
