Pleasant, North Carolina
AGE Project 97-026

Dear Phil,

It is a pleasure to present to you this report of my geotechnical investigation at the subject site.
My authorization for this work is your acceptance of my verbal proposal on July 9, 1997.

Project Information

The site of the proposed radio tower is located on the campus of Mt. Pleasant High School, which
is located on Walker Road in Cabarms County, North Carolina. It is located on the north side of
the parking area in the front of the school.

The tower will be a 300-ft tri-legged se!f-supporting structure with a one-story pre-engineered
steel equipment building on a concrete floor slab. The subject geotechnical exploration was for
the tower only.

The boring locations were staked by others through arrangement of the Cabarms County Sherrifs
Department.

Summary of Field Exploration and Sampling Procedures

Four SPT borings were drilled. Three borings were drilled at the stakes set for the tower legs. The
fourth boring was drilled at approximately five feet from B-3 toward the center point of the tower.
It was drilled due to auger refusal in B-3 at about 11.5 feet.
