He explained that the architects had identified more desirable and/or essential design elements in drawing up the plans. These elements accounted for $41,346.00 of the $46,628.00 budget short fall. Mr. Ken Griffin, Architect, and Sheriff Robert Canaday responded to questions regarding a number of the items which were added during the design process. UPON MOTION of Commissioner Mills, seconded by Commissioner Niblock with Commissioners Mills, Nlblock and Casper and Chairman Barnhart voting for and Commissioner Fennel voting against, the Board approved the budget amendment as shown below for the Courthouse Security System and awarded the projects co the low bidders as follows: Alterations to Courthouse - Ltles Construction - $79,900.00; Security System - SFI Electronics - $85,980.00; X-Ray Unic and Metal Detectors - Security Defense - $30,748.00. Further, the Board authorized the County Manager to enter into the contracts on behalf of the County for each of the projects. BUDGET REVISION/AMENDMENT REQUEST DEPARTMENT OF COUNTY MANAGER AMOUNT: $46,628.00 TYPE OF ADJUSTMENT: Transfer Between Departments/Funds PURPOSE OF REQUEST: Transfer funds to provide adequate funds for construction of the courthouse security system.
