B. Alcohol Testing <br /> <br /> 1. All initial alcohol testing showing an alcohol concentration of 0.02 or greater <br />will be subject to a second confirmatory test using an EBT device approved by NHTSA. <br />The Company record the results between 0.00 and 0.019 but no confirmation test will be <br />conducted. <br /> <br /> 2. Only a result which is positive (i.e. 0.02 or greater) following both the initial <br />and confirmatory analysis shall be reported to the County as a positive result. <br /> <br />Section 10 - Employee Status Pending Receipt of Results: <br /> <br /> A. An employee who is required to submit to a drug and/or alcohol screen as <br />provided in Section 2 (A) (pre-employment) and (B) (post-accident) of this Policy shall <br />not be assigned to operate any County or Company vehicle and/or perform safety sensitive <br />functions pending the outcome of such screening. The Company may, at its option, assign <br />such employee to available non-safety sensitive duties or place him/her on temporary <br />suspension. <br /> <br /> B. An employee whose drug or alcohol screen produces a negative result shall be <br />promptly returned to his/her former work. Under no circumstances will an employee be <br />made whole for any lost wages on a negative result if he/she is suspended for any <br />additional purposes concurrently with the waiting of the outcome of his/her results. <br />However, an employee not suspended for additional purposes shall be made whole for any <br />lost wages on a negative result. <br /> <br /> C. An employee whose alcohol screen produces a positive result (0.02 or greater) <br />shall not be made whole for any wages lost while assigned as provided in this Section and <br />will be subject to discipline, up to and including discharge. <br /> <br />Section I 1 - Record of Negative Screen: <br /> <br /> An employee required to submit to a drug and/or alcohol screen as provided in this <br />Policy and whose screening results are negative (i.e. less than 0.02) shall have his/her <br />personnel file documented to reflect the negative result. <br /> <br />Section 12 - Positive Drug Screen: <br /> <br /> An employee who is required to undergo a drug screen and whose screening <br />produces a positive result for prohibited substances as defined is Section I of this policy <br />shall be discharged. <br /> <br />- 7 - <br /> <br /> <br />
