OWNERSHIP & MAINTENANCE OF OPEN SPACE. <br /> <br />· Ownership of open space land may be handled through one or more of the following:. <br /> <br />1. A homeowner's assodalion <br />2. Transfer to a private conservation organization <br />3. Ownership retained by developer <br />4. Transfer to Cabarrus County Government upon its acceptance of same. <br /> <br /> All open space land xsill be permanently restricted from future development through deed <br />resthcfion. <br /> <br /> · Natural features are generally to be maintained in their natural condition but may be <br />modified to improve their appearance, function, or overall condition, permatted modificalaons ma3' <br />include: <br /> <br />1. Reforestation <br />2. Woodland management <br />3. Meadow management <br />4. Buffer area landscaping <br />5. S~reambank protection <br />6. Wetlands management <br /> <br /> In no event will a radical change in open space be permitted so-mdi~al~ehange so as to destroy <br />what may have been an imtial sales feature for surrounding homeowners, for example, the removal of <br />all timber, etc. <br /> <br />Section 5-9.
