I believe that it should also be brought to your attention the possibilities that could beneficially <br />exist if all the cities contracted with Cabarrus County for tax collection. Currently we collect for <br />17 fire districts and the City of Kannapolis. Should the cities of Concord, Harrisburg and Mount <br />Pleasant allow the County to collect their taxes, through an economy of scale we could offer <br />lower collection fees. We provide the data that the cities use to bill their real property taxes and <br />we are currently collecting and remitting monthly the vehicles taxes for all the cities as required by <br />North Carolina laws. This may be worth investigating and discussing with Terry Rowland, <br />Cabarrus County Tax Administrator, and with city officials if you deem appropriate. <br /> <br /> <br />
