Clifton, Jr., County Manager ' <br />RE: Public Health Authority Task Force Report and Recommlndations <br /> <br />Attached please find a recommendation submitted for your consideration by the Public Health <br />Amhority Task Force. All but one member of the Task Force agreed that Cabarrus County should <br />pursue the Public Health Authority concept as detailed in the attachments. <br /> <br />It is proposed that the Task Force Chairman, Carolyn R. Thompson, Ph.D., and other member_s will <br />make a fomial presentation to the Board of Commissioners at your regular meeting scheduled for <br />Monday, June~,, 1996, at 6:30 P.M. <br /> <br />If the Board of Commissioners agrees to move forward after the presentation is completed, then a <br />formal resolution will be drafted and individuals to be considered for appointment will be nominated <br />by the represented orgavi?ations. You should be able to take official action as early as Iuly's first <br />scheduled meeting of the Board of Commissioners. <br /> <br />There are several details yet to be finalized, but the concepts as outlined in the Task Force's <br />recommendstion are comprehensive.
