Governor's Workforce Preparedness Commission and the Centralina Workforce <br />Development Board; <br /> <br />6. Collaborate with the local JobReady Partnership, local school systems, and local <br /> community colleges in the development of school-to-work plans and initiatives; <br /> <br />7. Review and endorse any local JobReady plans for submission to the State <br /> JobReady Partnership Council; <br /> <br />8. Develop local job analyses (by industry or career cluster) in order to set training <br /> and workforce education priorities in the service area; <br /> <br />9. Assist with developing a local "one-stop career center", monitor activities, and <br /> evaluate the performance of the career center's programs, services and activities; <br /> <br />10. Develop linkages with local, regional, and state economic development efforts <br /> and activities in the service area and promote cooperation and coordination <br /> among public organizations, community organizations, education agencies, and <br /> area businesses; <br /> <br />11. Promote "workforce awareness" issues and activities through local and regional <br /> media; and <br /> <br />12. Seek all available local, state, and national resources (fiscal and human) <br /> necessary to catty out the mission of the partnership. <br /> <br />OPERATIONS <br /> <br />As grant funds become available, an executive director will be hired by the <br />partnership to coordinate its internal operations (i.e., agenda development, <br />meeting arrangements, communications, liaison with technical support team, <br />county manager, etc.) <br /> <br />2. The partnership will be appointed by and accountable to the Cabarrus County <br /> Commission through the county manager's office. <br /> <br />A technical support team will be established to assist the partnership and its <br />executive director with external operations. This team will be composed of the <br />technical experts from each participating agency/partner. This team will <br />function in a capacity identical to that of the Interagency Coordinating <br />Committee of the Governor's Workforce Preparedness Commission and the staff <br />of the Centralina Workforce Development Board. Essentially, the team will <br />carry out the policy directives of the partnership through their agency's <br />structure and operational procedures.
