RESOLUTION <br /> <br />WWEREAS, <br /> <br />The Albemarle House Foundation, Inc. of Albemarle, North Carolina wishes to <br />convey title to the property it owns at 242 North Second Street in Albemarle, North <br />Carolina to the Piedmont Area Mental Health, Developmental Disability and <br />Substance Abuse Authority at no cost; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The Piedmont Board voted at its meeting on September 10, 1996 to accept said <br /> property; and <br /> <br />North Carolina General Statutes Section 122C-147(c) allows Area Mental Health <br />Authorities to hold title to real property subject to the approval of the County <br />Commissioners; and <br /> <br />WWEREAS, The property is being transferred to Piedmont at no cost for continued use as a <br /> halfway house for substance abusers. <br /> <br />TWEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners: <br /> <br />1. Approve the transfer of the title of the property located at 242 North Second <br /> Street in Albemarle, North Carolina to the Piedmont Area Authority; and <br /> <br />As this property transfer is being done at no cost to Piedmont, in the future should <br />Piedmont sell the property, the Board of Commissioners approves the proceeds <br />from any such sale to be utilized at the discretion of the Piedmont Authority <br />Board to serve the citizens of Union, Cabarms and Stanly Counties with <br />substance abuse problems. <br /> <br />Adopted this 21st day of October, 1996. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />Jeffrey L.
