DRAFT <br /> <br />Commissioner Hills lefft the meeting prior to the closed session. <br /> <br /> UPON NOTION of Chairman Barnhart, seconded by Commissioner Casper and <br />unanimously carried, the Board moved tO adjourn the closed session. <br /> <br />Lease of Human Services Facility <br /> <br /> Mr. Clifton reviewed the proposal to lease the former K-Hart facility to <br />house the Department of Social Services, Public Health and portions of Piedmont <br />Behavioral Healthcare. He reported that the County plans to look at opportunities <br />for the sale of the existing facilities on Cabarrus Avenue. <br /> <br /> UPON MOTION of Commissioner Casper, seconded by Commissioner Fennel and <br />unanimously carried, the Board approved in principle the co-location of Cabarrus <br />County Department of Social Services, Public Health and portions of Piedmont <br />Behavioral Healthcare in the former K-Mart building on Cannon Boulevard in <br />Kannapolis and authorized the County Manager to negotiate the final terms of a <br />lease for the property subject to final approval by the Board. <br /> <br />REPORTS <br /> <br />1995 Child Fatality Prevention Report <br /> <br /> The 1995 Child Fatality Prevention Report by the Cabarrus County Child <br />Fatality Prevention Team was included in the Agenda for the Board's review. <br /> <br />Adjournment <br /> <br /> There being no further business to come before the Board, Chairman Barnhart <br />adjourned the meetinB at 9:06 P.M. <br /> <br />Clerk to the Board <br /> <br /> <br />
