This solution will require us to make available 2 telephone lines on our telephone system. Southern Bell will route two trunk lines to us at no charge. Concord Telephone Company will purchase $4000.00 worth of equipment to be installed at the Sheriff's Department to make it possible for the 911 system to accept the Automated Name and Location information for the 800 households on the Charlotte Exchange. To make it possible for us to provide the two lines we will need to up grade our existing telephone system to a system that will provide for greater than 16 lines. This is necessary at this time for both the reasons stated above. Those being the obsolescence of the existing equipment and the need for additional lines. Our current system has the following line designations: Line Use 1 911 2 911 3 911 4 911 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 CALL OUT ONLY SALISBURY, GRANITE QUARY, ROCKWELL CHARLOTTE CONCORD CONCORD CONCORD CONCORD RECORDS JAIL CONCOKD CKIMINAL INVESTIGATIONS DESK LIEUTENANT ** LINES 8,9,10,11 ARE ON A ROTARY. The price quote will be on a 72 month lease for $832.00 per month which will increase our monthly telephone lease by $472.00 per month or $5664.00 per year. This item would have been part of our FY96 budget package except for the immediate need to bring the 800 households on line with full Enhanced 911 capability.
