The Motion was seconded by Mr. Brownlow. The <br />vote was 7 to 1 to deny Variance l13(V). Mr. Brownlow, Mr. Jeter, <br />Ms. Stafford, Ms. Davis, Ms. Harkey, Mr. Smith, and Mr. Nichols <br />for denial; Mr. Drye against denial. <br /> <br />The Vice Chair said the Motion to deny Variance 113(V) is <br />approved, and the variance is denied. <br /> <br />The Vice Chair introduced the third item on the Agenda, Zoning Text <br />Amendment <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />Applicant: Cabarrus County Planning, Zoning~ Building Inspection Dept. <br />Request:. Petition 95-01(T) <br /> <br />This was a request to the Cabarrus County Planning and Zoning <br />Commission from the Cabarrus County Planning, Zoning, and <br />Building Inspection Department to amend Chapter 7, Section 4, <br />Number 17 as follows: <br /> <br />Add the Medium Density Residential zoning district to <br />those in which "Home Occupation, Rural" is permitted <br />by standards. <br /> <br />Amend part "c" adding a final sentence that would read: <br />"No outside storage shall be permitted in the MDR <br />zoning district." <br /> <br />Add part 'i" to the list of standards to read: "i. <br />Minimum lot size. In the Agricultural/Open, <br />Countryside Residential, and Low Density Residential <br />zoning districts, lots must meet the standard minimum <br />size requirements for those districts. In the Medium <br />Density Residential zoning district, minimum lot size <br />shall be two (2) acres." <br /> <br />Chapter 3, Section 7b, Number 3 will also need to be amended to <br />add "Home Occupation, Rural" to the list of "Permitted with <br />Performance Standards." <br /> <br /> <br />
