Page Three
Letter to John Day/From Mike Murphy
March 1, 1995

01-6-57-60-632

01-6-57-60-640

01-6-57-60-860

01-01-57-50-412

This increase in our consignment expense line item is necessary to
reimburse the older adults that provide the merchandise that is sold
in our Gift Shop. This expense is covered by the sale of each item.

This decrease in insurance and bonds is available due to an
overestimation during our budget request for FY'95.

This decrease in Equipment and Furniture is being transferred to
offset the needs in g01-6-57-60-301. These funds will be used to
pay for data processing supplies and equipment that cost less than
$1,000.00.

This decrease in Lights and Power is possible due to an
overestimation by the Department of Aging in our budget request
last year.

As you can see we deleted $2,050 from printing and postage from our original request. These
funds were to be used to pay for the Sunset Outlook Newsletter. We are currently talldng to
the Concord Tribune about future publication of this newsletter.

Thank you for your time and consideration. It has been difficult estimating and projecting for
the remainder of this year. However, I am confident that this request is very realistic, as well
as necessary if we are to maintain the current activity level at the Cabarrus County Senior
Center. Please do not hesitate to contact me if I can offer any further assistance.

Sincerely,

Michael L. Murphy, Director
Department of Aging

IVlLM/bwp

pc: Blair Bennett
Jeff Barnhart
