Attachment I <br /> <br />Design and Review Specification for the Single Application Project <br /> for Cabarrus County Department of Social Services <br /> <br />Definitions <br /> <br />Single Application - A term developed and used by Cabanas County Department of Social Services <br />to mean a group of common applications for Programs administered by DSS. <br /> <br />Foreign Databases - Other Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) that contain data <br />generated by the system that DSS considers appropriate. These RDBMS's must have ODBC drivers and <br />data that wilI be passed must have table and field definitions for this project. <br /> <br />Image Forms - Preset and designed common formats for accepting applications. <br /> <br />Documents - Single Application Image Forms that have been filled out for an applicant. <br /> <br />EIFO - Embedded Input Field Objects. These objects accepted, display, default, calculate, save and <br />print data that has been put on the Image Form. EIFO's contain size, position, type, font and entered data <br />for each field. An EIFO can call other tools and screens to aid the input of data. <br /> <br />Entry Fields - EIFO's that accept alpha-numeric input only. <br /> <br />Common Form Data Fields - EtFO's that default specially designated data that will be used <br />through out the entire folder. <br /> <br />Automatic Data Fields - EIFO's that calculate data based on other field's input. These calculations <br />occur on each keystroke input into the system. <br /> <br />Foreign Database Interface Fields - Eh:O's that construct the necessary SQL to insert data into <br />a Foreign Database. <br /> <br />Image Form Groups: :': <br />1. Signature Documents - Image Forms requiring acknowledgment oftmderstandIng by the applicant. <br /> These documents contain Entry and Common Form Data Fields. <br />2. Worksheet Documents - Image Forms that analyze the applicant's financial and social situation. <br /> These documents contain Entry, Common Form Data and Automatic Data Fiolds. <br />3. Program Application Documents - Image Forms that are officially recognized as application for <br /> assistance. These documents contain Entry, Common Form Data, Automatic Data and Foreign <br /> Database Interface Fields. <br /> <br />Document View - The system which creates, stores and outputs individual documents. <br /> <br />Navigation - The system which retrieves and displays all known documents of the system. This <br />system uses Drawer, Folder and Document metaphors to aid in the grouping. <br /> <br />Workflow - The automatic creation of specific forms for a folder based on the user menu selection. <br /> <br />Workbench - An accumulation cfa variety of tools which perform batch and administration functions. <br /> <br />Page 1 <br /> <br /> <br />
