Making 2 - 3 bede <br />short-term for "crisis placements" of i - 30 days and keeping the other beds for up <br />to 90 days would serve more children. To make this change we w£11 need to look at <br />staff workloads. This means more placements and increases the need for more <br />Department of Social Services staff availability to assess families, provide <br />reasonable efforts to prevent placement and provide family services to facilitate a <br />timely discharge plan. <br /> <br /> <br />
