The wells are used in
emergency sit~;a6ous, and are located as follows:

Well ~1: Latitude 35°24'44'', longitude 80045'57"
Well #2: Latitude 35°24'49'', longitude 80°25'59"

The wells remain on line as a source in emergency situations. Table 4 lists the safe yield, pumping capacity, aud
average withdrawal for each well. The combined 12-hour safe yield of the system is 0.07 mgd.

Table 6
Well Data (in MGD) for 1992

* (E) indicates emergency source

Wastewater Discharge Information

As discussed earlier, all collected wastewater from the WSACC members is treated at Rocky River Wastewater
Treatment Plant and is discharged into Rocky River (latitude 35°19'02'', longitude 80°32'15"). The average
annual daily discharge was 16.0 mgd in 1992. The plant has a permitted capacity of 24 mgd.

FUTLrRE CONDITIONS

In the future, industry is expected to remain a major influence on the economy of Cabarrus County. However,
tremendous potential exists for growth in residential water use due to continuing growth in the area. Table 6
shows the projected population and water demand for the years 2000, 2010, and 2020 for the WSACC members.
The populations and projected average daily use were provided by each of the WTP owners.

4-
