In 1992, Concord withdrew aa
average of 5.0 mgd from Coddle Creek, 4.0 mgd from Lake Concord, and 6.4 mgd from Lake Fisher for parts of
the year. Kannapolis withdrew an average of 8.5 mgd from Kaunapolis Lake, and an average of 7.8 mgd from
Coddle Creek and Second Creek for parts of the year. Mount Pleasant used Dutch Buffalo Creek as its primary
water source, with a reservoh- on Black Run as an emergency water supply.

Table 5
1992 Water Supply Sources

System Name of Stream Latitude Longitude Avg. The limiting capacity of the Concord water supply system are the raw water pumps, and
Kannapolis and Mount Pleasant are limited by the capacity of the WTP.. Concord restricted water use in 1993
due to drought conditions. Dutch Buffalo Creek nearly went dry in 1986, severely limiting Mount Pleasant's
water use. Since then a reservoir has been built to help Mount Pleasant in emergency situations.
