Bids were solicited by invitation for two contracts. <br /> <br />Contract AFE 7193-0002 (Pipeline) includes the installation of two new pipelines with <br />control valves across the Reservoir and removal of the existing pipelines. Two alternate <br />methods of construction were included in the bid package. Alternate 1 included the Open <br />Trench method of construction, and Alternate 2 required replacement of the pipelines <br />through the use of directional drilling technology. <br /> <br />Contract AFE 7193-0003 (Earthwork) included clearing and grading the right,of-way and <br />the construction of two berms or causeways to work in conjunction with the Open Trench <br />method of construction. <br /> <br />The selection of the Contractor(s) would be on the basis of the lowest cost of the combined <br />lowest responsible bidders for Contract AFE 7193-0002, Alternate 1 (Pipeline-Open <br />Trench) and Contract AFE 7193-0003 (Earthwork) compared to the lowest responsible <br />bidder for Contract AFE 7193-0002, Alternate 2 (Pipeline-Directional Drilling). <br /> <br /> <br />
