Property Maintenance The Property Maintenance Division of the Cabarrus County Parks and Recreation Department is responsible for a wide range of duties. These include and are not limited to: complete set-~up of tents, temporary fencing, signs, tables and chairs, stages, award sections, and refreshment areas for special events. This includes delivery, set-up, tear-down and restocking of supplies and fixtures. Special even ts are Ho Ii day Highlights at Frank Liske Park, Run for Your Life and Share Cabarrus at Downtown Concord, Special Olympics at Mt. Pleasant High School and Senior Games at Myers Park. Other duties are complete landscape maintenance at all county owned properties: Senior Center, Governmental Cen- ter, Old and New Courthouses, Parking Lots #1 and #2, General Services building, Ambulance Stations #1, #2, #3, Health Department and Health Department Annex, Kan napolis Library, County Office Complex, Landfill, Animal Shelter, Sheriff's Department Training Center, and all parking lots at each property. Property Maintenance is also responsible for the athletic fields at Frank Liske Park and all Cabarrus County schools outside the city limits. All fields are mowed, over seeded, fertilized, and set-up for each type of game they will be used for. All fields and fences are repaired as needed, bases and lights are checked once each season. All landscape equipment owned by Cabarms County is maintained and repaired by Property Maintenance personnel. All landscape and athletic supplies are purchased by and stored at Property Maintenance building. Several times each year Property Maintenance person- nel are requested to assist in projects at Frank Liske Park and B~ers Creek Park; this is to ensure successful operations of each park facility. Property Maintenance consists of five full-time employ- ees and several community service worker volunteers. The key to our success is pride in our work and setting priorities. 12
