Center, <br />Inc. <br /> <br />LONG TERM CARE OMBUDSMAN PROGRAM <br /> <br />Provided three sensitivity training sessions for staff at one long term care facility. <br />Attended a residents' rights celebration at one nursing facility. <br /> <br />Conducted residents' rights monitoring visits with the Cabarrus County Adult Care Home <br />Community Advisory Committee at three facilities. <br /> <br />Worked with facility administrators, residents and families to resolve grievances. <br />Completed quarterly report for State Long Term Care Ombudsman. <br /> <br />Produced Ombudsman Outlook, a quarterly newsletter for volunteers, families and <br />facilities. <br /> <br />Facilitated the quarterly business meeting and provided training for the Cabarrus County <br />Nursing Home Community Advisory Committee. <br /> <br />Facilitated the quarterly business meeting and provided training for the Cabarrus County <br />Adult Care Home Community Advisory Committee. <br /> <br />Provided technical assistance on long term care issues to the general public, facility staffs, <br />families, and residents in long term care. <br /> <br /> Planning Activities <br /> <br />Cabarrus County - Continued providing cable TV administration services. <br /> <br />Cabarrus County - Completed second draft of TDP. Reviewed document with <br />Transportation Advisory Board and NCDOT for comments and modifications. <br /> <br />Cabarrus County - Began meeting with MPO staff to start right-of-way preservation <br />ordinances for implementation in the KANLACON MPO. <br /> <br />Harrisburg - Undertook study of Town's revolving loan funds for industrial/manufacturing <br />projects; made report. <br /> <br /> Regional Activities <br /> <br />Conducted regional solid waste and recycling coordinators meeting. <br />Brenda Barger of Mecklenburg County spoke to the group on waste reduction. <br /> <br /> <br />
