Cabarrus County <br />Page 3 <br /> <br />LONG TERM CARE OMBUDSMAN PROGRAM <br /> <br />Facilitated meeting of the Association of Long Term Care Social Workers. <br /> <br />Worked with facility administrators, residents and families to resolve grievances. <br />Facilitated and provided training at Community Advisory Committee Leadership meeting. <br /> <br />Conducted residents' rights monitoring visits with the Cabarrus County Adult Care Home <br />Community Advisory Committee at six facilities. <br /> <br />Facilitated quarterly meeting of the Cabarrus County Long Term Care Administrators. <br /> <br />Conducted class on Extended Care Options and Long Term Care Planning at the <br />Cabarrus County Senior Center. <br /> <br />Provided technical assistance on long term care issues to the general public, facility staffs, <br />families, and residents in long term care. <br /> <br /> Planning Activities <br /> <br />Cabarrus County - Continued providing cable TV administration services. <br /> <br />Cabarrus County - Finalized TDP Report. Sent copies to be reviewed by NCDOT and TAB <br />for recommendation for adoption. Scheduled December 5 meeting with TAB for adoption. <br /> <br />Cabarrus County- Began meeting with MPO staff to start right-of-way preservation ordinances <br />for implementation in the KANLACON MPO, <br /> <br /> Regional Planning Activities <br /> <br />Taught the private sector sessions of the recycling coordinators course in Hendersonville. <br /> <br />Building Permit Project - Ongoing update of current data. Provided custom reports upon <br />request, Continued printing copies of 5-year analytical report for distribution. <br /> <br />Data Center - Continued to monitor and collect statistical information relating to municipalities <br />and counties within the Region and State, Disseminated information upon request to local <br />governments and private sector. <br /> <br />Drug/Alcohol Testing Program (DATP) - Initiated DATP program by scheduling training <br />sessions for supervisors of Commercial Drivers License (CDL) employees, Employee testing <br />is the next phase of this project and will begin next month. <br /> <br />Our Region Tomorrow - The Infrastructure and Cohesiveness and Collaborative Action Task <br />Forces have concluded their reports. The Infrastructure Task Force should have their report <br />completed by January 1996. <br /> <br /> <br />
